John is the son of James B. Keithley and Esther Sloan. He married Margaret Francis "Maggie" Brubeck. It is said that John was a Holy Roller and spent his days on the main street of Georgetown discussing religion and politics with passers by. Lenne Keithley recalls that he wore his beard very long and had long white hair which he wore rolled on top of his head. |

J.D. is the son of John Yenawine Keithley and Margaret Brubeck. He married Mary Jane "Mollie" Edwards. He was a very religious and strict man. He was a hard worker and took his job as a father very seriously. To my understanding, the thought of his children marrying and moving away caused him a lot of stress. He flat out forbid my MaMaw and great Aunt Freda to get married. He ran off their dates on numerous occasions and told them never to come back. My great grandfather lived a hard life, but had the strength and determination to succeed. He lived to be 93 years old. |

Freda is the daughter of James David Keithley and MollieEdwards. She married Albert Scott and had 4 daughters, Linda, Helen, June, and Mary. Aunt Freda loved everything about life. She was a Christian woman and raised her family well. Her and I shared the strong love of flowers, coloring, and jigsaw puzzles. Aunt Freda spent the last years of her life bound to a wheelchair because of a surgical accident on her leg. The last few years she was confined to her bed, but never seemed to lose that wonderful spirit and kind heart. She loved it when I would stop by with the kids. I wish I could've spent more time with her. Freda was 92 when she passed away |

Uncle Lenne is the baby of the family and is the only Keithley child still living. He's 82 and still going strong. We're sure it's the "Keithley Gene". He married his teenage sweetheart, Margaret "Maggie" Kist and loved her dearly. Maggie's last years were very hard, as she went blind and developed Alzheimer's. He was by her side every moment until the end. I've never seen a man so devastated to lose his wife. Uncle Lenne and my Grandma Siltz have become good friends the past few years, so I lovingly call him "Uncle Grandpa". He has a wonderful voice and sings regularly in the choir and plays. When my MaMaw died, he sang her favorite song, "In the Garden", at her funeral. I love spending time with Uncle Lenne, I hope we have many more years to share. |

Hans was named after Honos Wagner, the baseball player, which I think is very cool. Uncle Hans was killed in WWII and is buried in France. He married, but had no children. I don't really know much about Hans. MaMaw rarely spoke of him, and when she did she couldn't hold back the tears. I know she loved him very much. |
