Day 4 - Tuesday, June 12th.

Day 4 began dark & early. We got up at 4:45am, grabbed some coffee and made our way down to Pawleys Island Beach. It was almost high tide. The ocean is pretty vast and dark at 5am. The kids weren't too impressed, although it wasn't long before Devynne was in the water. As the sky begins to brighten Chris and I go for a little walk

The sun rises really fast on the ocean. We went from darkness to full blown splendor before we knew it.

Devynne and I played with some of the camera's settings and got some awesome shots...

We returned back to the hotel and had breakfast before getting ready. We were heading to Myrtle Beach today to find out what all the fuss is about. On the way we stopped at the Litchfield Inn to admire the trees close up. Gorgeous Live Oaks covered in moss. Quite a sight.

We made it to Myrtle Beach and have officially decided it's the suckiest beaches we've ever encountered. At 9am it was already jam packed. The sand wasn't sand, it was all just crushed shells. The beach was large, but ugly compared to the others we'd visited the last 2 days. The only thing cool about Myrtle Beach was this sand castle...said to be the largest in the US...

We made our way back south to Surfside Beach. This was our beach. Long, flat, white and hardly any people. We spent most of the day here, all of us getting quite burnt.

The kids, Chris included, all had a great time in the water with the boogie board. Logan decided on a drip castle today.
I had the hard job of taking pictures and sitting under our umbrella.

Later that evening after dinner we toured some of the local shops. This on in particular had a pretty cool opening. We'd have got more shots, but it was starting to rain.

Day 5...
